I decided today to go to Cardiff for the weekend.  Maff is working all weekend so I'd just be in the house alone.  Gonna see my girly whirlys.

This cold has seriously knocked me out and work is hell at the minute.  Stupid pigs and flu.  I've had to sign up to some emergency on call rota, because they're expecting to have to run the lab 24/7 if it ( Read more... )

Apparently some pig sneezed on someone in Mexico and now everyone is panicing.  Half of work is shut off for emergency video conferences with the World Health Organisation, all non-essential meetings have been cancelled, the BBC have been round filming anyone within 10 metres of a pipette and we've been warned we could be taken from regular duties ( Read more... )
